Immediate Dentures

An immediate denture is a type of denture that is placed in a patient's mouth immediately after their natural teeth are extracted.

The immediate denture is pre-fabricated based on measurements taken before the teeth are removed and is designed to fit the patient's mouth during the healing process. This type of denture is meant to be a temporary solution, as the shape of the patient's mouth can change during the healing process. Once the gums have healed completely, the patient will require a permanent reline which will completely refit the denture to fit the healed tissue. Immediate dentures can help patients to maintain their appearance and ability to speak and chew from the day their teeth are pulled.
